This bird is a colorful world at first glance. You can spot them everywhere in the hills up to about 1300 meters. Besides, expect to see them in the low country wet zone as well. Like other Sri Lankan parakeets, this is a green bird with a short tail. These beautiful creatures tend to live singly, in pairs, or sometimes in small groups. Kandy, Kitulgala, and Sinharaja are the best areas to spot Ceylon hanging parrots.
