You will be picked up from Colombo, Negombo and Mount Lavinia or Airport and driven to Digana in Kandy (approx. 4 hours drive) Spend overnight in Polwaththa Eco Lodge. Your stay in on Half Board basis

After breakfast, you will start a village walk and waterfall swim. This is the most popular trek especially among children with the waterfall-swim as the highlight. The walk begins from our Lodge and is through quaint villages with their Kandyan Forest Gardens where the villagers go about their daily chores at their own easy pace. You will be invited to visit their houses and see, for example, how they make treacle and jaggery (syrup and sugar blocks made from the sap/nectar of a palm tree). You will be given a “Botany lesson” by our Guide of the various trees you will see on the way, such as cloves, pepper, nutmeg, coffee, cocoa, jack, bread-fruit, arecanut, mangosteen, mango, passion-fruit, rambuttan, banana, papaya etc. You will also see rice-fields, and time permitting, a glimpse of our nearby reforestation program – life in harmony with nature and a breath-taking view of the lake surrounded by majestic mountains. Spend overnight in Polwaththa Eco Lodge. Your stay in on Full Board basis

After breakfast, you will be taken to Mahiyanganaya where you will enjoy a visit to Dambana Vedda village. The population of these indigenous ‘Veddha’ people now consists of only about 350 families, a number significantly reduced from a once thriving community. The ‘Veddha’ are so influenced by the imposing dominant culture that they risk losing their traditions and what has been their livelihood for centuries. Visitors to this fascinating village have the opportunity to meet and chat with the people who live there, learn about their traditions, and gain a unique insight into their way of life. On completion of this visit, you will be driven to Galoya Lodge. Spend the afternoon at leisure and enjoy the surrounding nature on a guided walk. Overnight stay at Galoya Lodge. Wake up early and have your breakfast before starting the morning safari by Boat. Enjoy the only experience in Sri Lanka that allows you to spot wildlife from the water. It’s a unique way to immerse yourself in the animals’ habitats. With a little luck you could spot elephants swimming between islands or bathing at the lake’s edge. A 2-3 hour safari by boat, and a scenic 40 minute drive from the lodge to the lake is perfect to explore the national park and surrounding villages. Arrive back to your hotel and proceed to Tree tops Jungle lodge in Buttala. Overnight stay at Tree tops Jungle lodge. Your stay is on Half board basis

After breakfast, you will be taken to the Mirissa kade junction where you can start your journey to a village with a land master ride. 10:00: Reach to the Chena and you will be provided traditional welcome drink before proceeding with Chena activities. Here you may have the opportunity to pluck fresh vegetables by your own for the lunch. 11:00: You can do a boat safari in nearby lake, which enables you to enjoy the views of birds and wild animals around the lake while enjoying a child beer / Fruit Juice 12:30: Experience Sri Lankan village lunch at mud house with curd for dessert. 13:30: You can Plant a tree as your environmental contribution. The tree will be looked after by us to make sure that it becomes a part of the beautiful nature in the area. 14:00: There is a small hike which will bring you to a viewpoint, where you will see the whole area of the village and experience your herbal tea from there. 16:00: Come back to the lake and view the sunset for a while. 17:00: You will be taken back to the lodge. After breakfast, you will board the train from Ella Railway for a scenic train journey to Haputhale station. On arrival to Haputale town, start the walk to the Adhisam Bungalow. You will walk by passing the tea plantations, jungles and villages who are selling the strawberries long the way. Adisham is a monastery run by Benedictine Monks. It is also named as St. Benedict’s monastery. The pages of history reveal that the creator of this enthralling place is Sir Thomas Lister Villiers. Sir Thomas was born in 1869 in Adisham, an ancient village which lies in the hollow of the Kent country side. Wrapped in the tranquility of the misty hills, Adisham Bungalow attracts every eye that falls on it. On completion of the visit, you will be taken to Belihuloya. Overnight stay at Tree House Chalets. Your stay is on Half board basis

After breakfast, you will start your walking trail in the village of Belihuloya with your guide. You will walk through beautiful paddy fields and the friendly welcoming breeze that blow through. (Unpaved muddy path and possible leech bites can be expected). Meet the villagers here, peep into their lives and learn their living style and also you can have a chat with them enjoying a snack. You will spend the afternoon at leisure. Late afternoon, your guide will take you through another memorable walking trail to a waterfall in the property premises. Tranquil dip in this natural rock pool. No harsh chemicals, just you, pure mountain water and natural stone. This is a marvelous creation of nature! (Involves a somewhat adventurous, challenging short climb walks) In the evening you will enjoy your BBQ dinner at roof terrace. Overnight stay at Tree House Chalets. Your stay is on Half board basis

After breakfast, you will be driven to Colombo or airport for your flight back home.
